Word of the moment: Want
Most of the time I feel like I know what I want. Although the situation changes you will likely find me “knowing what I want”. I am just that kind of girl. However, the moment you want for anything a tiny tug from sensibility comes out from beneath desire to ask one simple question: “do you need it?” and with it a snap of silver platter reality. So, as a way to begin this shiny new, plastic wrapped blog, and as a way to say “shove it” to all that would keep me from selfish desire, here is a list of things I want.
1. I want to be alive long enough to have grandchildren.
2. I want new furniture.
3. I want to live by the beach (again).
4. I want to stare into a set of eyes belonging to a man who has committed to love me no matter what.
5. I want to always feel like it’s okay to dance.
6. I want to be able to write about it, even when it hurts.
7. I want to not worry about money.
8. I want my parents to live forever.
9. I want to leave a legacy.
10. I want to always be moved powerfully by music.
